Surface Treatments Workshop
DC - Finishing is the surface treatments workshop located at the Rue Baylon site, which is also at Carouge in Geneva. The following various treatments are offered:
Mechanical treatments, carried out on metals such as steel and aluminium alloys. These treatments include grinding, brushing, brilliant polishing, mirror polishing, sand-blasting, shot-blasting and shot-peening. This is mainly manual work.
Galvanic and chemical treatments, enabling a thin layer of metal that is different from the base metal to be deposited on the surface. These treatments involve work such as tinning, galvanizing, coppering, nickel plating, chromium plating, hard chromium plating, silver plating and gold plating.
Aluminium anodizing, enabling the surface to be protected from natural oxidation and the creation of a transparent surface layer which may be coloured or have decorative graphical printing on it. We should also mention hard anodizing for wear resistance, and the Ematal process, which provides a very good friction coefficient. The Alodine 1200 S process, which is purely chemical, also protects aluminium from natural oxidation. It is primarily used as a bonding layer for paint.
DC- Finishing is also equipped for spray gun paint work and thermo-lacquering of parts with all sorts of shapes and made of any sort of material.
